Dave Levac Joins CCEP Advisory Board
Levac accepts invitation from the Canadian Council for Emergency Preparedness

NEWS

February 16, 2010

Burlington- Brant MPP Dave Levac is excited to announce that, effective immediately, he will be joining the advisory board of CCEP, the Canadian Council for Emergency Preparedness. On the board, Levac joins several private and public sector leaders with a mandate of augmenting emergency preparedness, business continuity, and risk management.

After the World Conference on Disaster Management two years ago, CCEP has moved from awareness to action, developing a new vision for small enterprises and non-profit organizations. CCEP is now undertaking numerous activities, which include forming an Institute to support the Centre’s activities.

“I am thrilled to participate on the advisory board of CCEP and work collaboratively with experts in the disaster management field from all sectors,” Levac said. “I know that all Ontarians and in particular, my constituents in the riding of Brant will significantly benefit from the crucial work that CCEP undertakes.”

Levac is involved with several non-profit organizations in Ontario including The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Brantford Boy’s C.Y.O. Basketball, and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Brant. He looks forward to furthering CCEP’s goal of a disaster resilient Canada.
